작가의 기억 속에 존재하는 추억의 기물들은 가느다란 실과 섬유의 물리적인 텍스처를 통해 감각의 전면에 즉각적으로 등장합니다. 

그녀의 섬유 회화는 검소하지만 누추하지 않고, 화려하지만 사치스럽지 않음을 현대적으로 재해석합니다. 

한 땀 한 땀 정성스럽게 연결된 바느질의 흔적은 상실의 시대를 위로하는 가장 한국적이면서도 정성스러운 온기를 가져다줍니다.

심민경은 귀로 흘러드는 음악적 선율을 한지 위 다양한 매체를 이용하여 즉각적으로 치환합니다. 어머니의 뱃속에서부터 각인된 음악의 즉각적인 자극은 작가의 내면에서 정화되어 ‘고양이 산수’라는 상상적 이미지로 재탄생 됩니다. 

그녀의 작품 속 고양이는 전통 산수화의 외재적 형식을 빌려왔지만, 그 결은 고요한 명상, 영혼의 자유로움, 그리고 그들만이 줄 수 있는 작은 위로로 다가오곤 하는데요, 겹겹이 쌓인 한지의 은은한 결 속에 숨겨진 고양이의 눈망울은, 현실의 피로로부터 아득한 거리를 두며 관람객에게 해방감을 선사하기도 합니다.
